4 total arrested in Drug Task Force Investigation Wednesday March 31st.

Grays Harbor Scanner has an update on the incident that took place Wednesday, March 31st at the Mobile Gas Station and Walmart parking area on E Heron and Hornsby Way where the Grays Harbor County Drug Task for says that they acted on a lengthy investigation into heroin, meth, and pills being delivered into Grays Harbor.

A 51-year-old transient male from Arizona was arrested for Assault 2nd Degree, Malicious Mischief 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st Degree, and Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act (VUCSA) Delivery, Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer and Resisting Arrest.

This occurred near Walmart when a marked Aberdeen Police Officer attempted contact with him as other officers arrived to assist.  The male began ramming his vehicle into police vehicles and eventually into a cyclone fence in an attempt to evade arrest. 

The male then exited the vehicle and fled on foot, but was tased and immediately subdued by officers.  The male, a convicted felon, had a large amount of meth and a loaded handgun in the vehicle.  The WSP handled the collision investigation.

At least one citizen’s vehicle was involved as well. There were no injuries to the suspect or to Law Enforcement units.

The investigation led to the Grayland area where three more suspects were contacted.  They included a 45 year old male from California who was arrested for VUCSA and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st Degree. The third suspect was a 43 year old male from California who was arrested for VUCSA Delivery and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. The fourth suspect arrested was 51 year old female transient from California who was arrested for VUCSA Delivery and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st Degree.

The group was travelling in two 40 foot long motorhomes which were reported stolen out of Junction City, Oregon. Both motorhomes were recovered. Multiple firearms, a large amount of meth, heroin, pills and cash were located inside the motorhomes. 

The GHDTF was assisted by the Lewis County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET), the Cosmopolis Police Department, the Aberdeen Police Department, Hoquiam Police Department, the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office, the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office, and the Washington State Patrol.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges may follow.
