The Task Force was assisted by Deputies from the Patrol Division at the scene of a traffic stop of the vehicle this suspect was driving on US 101. A search warrant was applied for, granted and then served on the vehicle the suspect was driving. Task Force Detectives located multiple containers of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and other controlled substances.

The amounts of these suspected controlled substances were approximately 1,500 pills containing suspected fentanyl, 1/2lb of suspected methamphetamine, 3oz of suspected heroin, 1oz of suspected fentanyl powder, and 1oz of suspected cocaine. A digital scale, packaging materials, and two rifles were also located within the vehicle. $282 in cash was found on the suspect’s person.

Through the use of various investigative techniques and tactics during the course of this investigation, the Task Force Detectives developed probable cause to believe that not only was this suspect delivering controlled substances to other individuals within Pacific County, but that this individual was providing three or more persons with controlled substances to also sell, with these individuals then bringing part of the proceeds back to this suspect following these sales, so that this suspect could then obtain and transport more controlled substances, continuing the pattern of criminal profiteering activity for all involved.

This suspect was booked into the Pacific County Jail for one count of leading organized crime, one count of delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in the first degree. This investigation is still ongoing, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
