The Quinault Indian Nation EMS said in a social media post that several agencies came together to locate a lost fisherman who had been located late yesterday but was to be rescued by search and rescue today Thursday morning December 12th, 2024.

They said that QIN EMS, Quinault Nation Public Safety, Quinault Indian Nation Emergency Management, QDNR Fire responded with Grays Harbor Fire District #4, Olympic National Park, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and Olympic Ambulance Service both last night and this morning for a lost fisherman on the Lower Queets River Rd.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office used their drone last night to drop survival gear to the lost person. This morning all departments responded back to the location and sent two 5 man search teams in to locate and extricate the lost person.

The subject was located and escorted from the woods. The PT was transported for evaluation by Olympic Ambulance.
