According to investigators, the theft was reported on August 16 just outside of Hoquiam. During the investigation, deputies identified two suspects after they allegedly sold portions of the stolen copper. Both were booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail on August 22 for first-degree trafficking in stolen property and first-degree possession of stolen property.

A third suspect was later identified and taken into custody on August 23. That individual now faces charges of first-degree theft, first-degree trafficking in stolen property, and first-degree possession of stolen property.

That same day, deputies executed three search warrants—two on vehicles and one on a hotel room in Aberdeen—recovering portions of the stolen copper.

The Grays Harbor County Jail Records currently show 3 suspects being held for this arrest—Donald Carroll, Jessica Alexander, and Joseph Young.  All 3 suspects are being held on trafficking stolen property and possession of stolen property.

Officials praised the collaborative effort and persistence of investigators in recovering the stolen property and ensuring those responsible are held accountable.
