Sometimes they say second time is a charm, and the Grays Harbor County Drug Task Force says that is true for this repeat offender location where they served a second search warrant for alleged illegal drug sales in the 200 block of West 3rd Street in Aberdeen in less than 6 months.

More on that from Aberdeen Detective Sergeant Darrin King

On April 16, 2020, the Grays Harbor Drug Task Force served a search warrant for alleged illegal drug sales in the 200 block of West 3rd Street in Aberdeen. Officers from Aberdeen PD, Hoquiam PD, the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Lewis County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) assisted.  A 24-year old Aberdeen male was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail on VUCSA Trafficking charges.  A 51-year old Aberdeen male and a 32-year old Aberdeen male were also arrested on outstanding warrants.

This was the second time in less six months that the GH Drug Task Force has served a narcotics warrant at the location. The residence is directly across the street from McDermoth Elementary School. Designated “School Enhancement” areas are considered during sentencing if a person is found guilty of illegal drug sales near school areas. Suspect heroin and methamphetamine were seized from the location.

The Drug Task Force, in collaboration with our local law enforcement partners, will continue to target mid-level drug traffickers because they profit from poisoning our communities and burdening our citizens into the spiral of addiction and criminal activity.

The Grays Harbor Drug Task Force consists of detectives from the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office, Aberdeen Police Department and Hoquiam Police Department.
