Pedestrian Airlifted To Tacoma From Hit and Run Incident On SR 109 Wednesday Evening.

The Washington State Patrol says in a report that an Oregon Woman (former Taholah resident) was struck by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday night on State Route 109 around 1018pm. 

The 39-year-old woman with a Cornelius Oregon address was walking on the southbound shoulder on State Route 109 at milepost 30.5 near Lake Drive Moclips when she was struck by an unknown passenger car (according to radio traffic possibly a red passenger car).  The woman was thrown into the ditch in the southbound lane.  The vehicle continued south on SR 109 and is still at large according to to the press release. 

The victim was taken to Community Hospital and then airlifted to Tacoma General for her injuries.
