A 29 year old Hoquiam man fell asleep while driving westbound on State Route 12 Monday evening. 

On August 30th, 2021 at 7:20 OPm According to a Washington State Patrol report the Hoquiam man driving a 2008 Chev Cobalt was traveling westbound on State Route 12 and Aberdeen Lake Road when he fell asleep and went off to the right up an embankment and rolled.  Fire radio traffic indicated that the vehicle landed on its top in the swamp area.  

The driver was transported to Community Hospital for his injuries.  The driver is being charged with negligant driving for falling asleep.
