The Washington State Patrol says that a 65-year-old Aberdeen man was airlifted to Tacoma General for his injuries after a motorcycle collision on Sunday, July 16th, 2023 and have been updated by friends and family that he did not survive the surgery. 

The collision occurred on US 101 near Butte Creek Rd at 4:49 PM when the 65-year-old who was traveling northbound on US 101 on a 2006 Yamaha XVS1100 when he struck some debris lost traction and went off the roadway, coming to rest in a ditch on the northbound shoulder.
