The Washington State Patrol has confirmed this afternoon that a pedestrian was killed this morning after being struck by a Grays Harbor Transit Bus on State Route 115.

The incident occurred on Thursday, October 10th, 2024 at 6:57 this morning when a 33-year-old Aberdeen man (name was released by WSP, however GHScanner wants to give time for family to be notified so we are withholding the name) was standing in the roadway on State Route 115 i the northbound lane at milepost 1 when he was struck by a Grays Harbor transit bus that was driven by a 62-year-old Humptulips man.
The pedestrian was deceased at the scene of the incident, with WSP stating the cause of the collision is Pedestrian In The Roadway.
Traffic was blocked for several hours for investigation, causing school closures due to transportation and access issues.
