Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision Near Westport

GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, Wash. — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon along State Route 105 near Whalebone Way in the Westport area.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 1:49 p.m. on January 25, 2026, at the intersection of SR-105 and Whalebone Way (MP 32.6).

Investigators say Vehicle One was stopped on Whalebone Way at the intersection with SR-105 while Vehicle Two was traveling northbound on SR-105. Vehicle One attempted to make a left turn onto southbound SR-105 and failed to yield, causing the vehicle to turn left into the path of Vehicle Two.

Vehicle One swerved left and struck Vehicle Two. Following the collision, Vehicle One came to rest against the southbound guardrail, while Vehicle Two came to rest on the southbound shoulder.

The driver of Vehicle One, identified as 71-year-old Larry J. Hargrove of Aberdeen, was injured and transported to Harbor Regional Health. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was not cited.

The driver of Vehicle Two, 44-year-old Joshua J. Zylstra of Monroe, and a passenger, 43-year-old Kristie L. Wilcox of Puyallup, were also injured and transported to Harbor Regional Health. Both occupants of Vehicle Two were not wearing seatbelts, according to investigators.

The Washington State Patrol reports that failure to yield was the primary cause of the collision. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor.

Both vehicles—a 2016 Ford Flex and a 2000 Jeep Grand—were totaled and removed from the scene by South Beach Tow.

No charges were filed as a result of the incident.
