Connecting the Dots: What We Know About the Death Investigation of 4-Year-Old Aiden Scott Bevins

The Aberdeen Police Department has not yet released an official statement identifying 4-year-old Aiden Scott Bevins or detailing the circumstances surrounding the ongoing investigation into his death.

On May 18, Aberdeen Police advised Grays Harbor Scanner that detectives were investigating the death of a 4-year-old child.

"The Aberdeen Police Department is currently investigating the death of a 4-year-old child. Detectives are diligently working this case. There is not much information to share at this moment; however, more information will be released as the investigation progresses," the department stated at the time.

Since then, a Seattle-area media report identified the child as Aiden Scott Bevins and confirmed that an investigation remains ongoing. Beyond that, few details have been publicly released by law enforcement.

While reviewing previous incidents and public information, the Grays Harbor Scanner team identified what appears to be a possible connection to an earlier Aberdeen Police response.

According to radio traffic monitored by Grays Harbor Scanner, Aberdeen Police were dispatched on May 12, 2026, at approximately 5:03 p.m. to a report involving a missing 6-year-old girl. Initial information indicated the child had reportedly been taken by her biological mother. Officers were told the girl had been seen outside speaking with her mother before both were no longer at the location. At the time, officers searched for the pair but had limited information available.

Grays Harbor Scanner monitored the incident and anticipated that additional information or an Attempt to Locate (ATL) bulletin might be released to assist in alerting the public. However, no public alert containing identifying information was issued, and the outcome of that incident was not publicly released.

Week later, reports surfaced regarding the death investigation involving 4-year-old Aiden Scott Bevins. Based on publicly available information and names associated with both incidents, Grays Harbor Scanner believes the events may be connected. However, law enforcement has not officially confirmed any relationship between the May 12 incident and the ongoing death investigation.

Aiden's mother, Amanda, also publicly commented on social media regarding the case. Amanda stated she had been unable to maintain contact with her son while incarcerated and eventually filed a missing person report after being unable to determine his whereabouts. She described herself as "beside myself," saying she was both "angry" and "so sad" about the circumstances, and asked the public to be respectful of the family while the investigation continues.

Based on the timeline and information currently available, it appears the May 12 incident may have played a role in ultimately determining Aiden's whereabouts. However, that connection has not been confirmed by investigators, and many questions remain unanswered.

Grays Harbor Scanner will continue to follow the case and provide updates as additional information becomes available. As of publication, Aberdeen Police have not released further details regarding the investigation, and information may change as official statements are issued.
