
GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, Wash. — Four people were injured Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on State Route 109 near milepost 5 in Grays Harbor County, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision occurred at approximately 4:13 p.m. on July 16, 2026, on SR 109 near Bay Ridge Lane. Troopers investigated the crash as a personal injury collision.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 2003 Honda Accord was traveling southbound on SR 109 when it crossed the centerline into the northbound lane and struck a 2025 Chevrolet Trax head-on. The Honda came to rest blocking the northbound lane, while the Chevrolet left the roadway and came to rest in the northbound ditch.

nvestigators determined the cause of the collision was speed too fast for conditions. Drugs or alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash.
Injuries
Four occupants sustained injuries in the collision:
- David L. Wright, 27, of Prosser, the driver of the Honda, was transported to Harbor Regional Health. He was wearing a seatbelt.
- Karisya G. Castillo, 23, of Kennewick, a passenger in the Honda, was transported to Harbor Regional Health. She was wearing a seatbelt.
- Jonathan D. Parker, 40, of Long Beach, the driver of the Chevrolet, was transported to Harbor Regional Health. He was wearing a seatbelt.
- Cogdil, 50, of Raymond, a passenger in the Chevrolet, was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the Washington State Patrol.
No fatalities were reported.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were declared total losses. They were removed from the scene by Aberdeen Auto Wrecking.
The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the collision.
