Homicide Investigation, Body found at SR 109 Boat Launch

The Grays Harbor County Sheriffs Office has confirmed Monday morning that a fisherman had located a body at the boat launch on SR 109 Sunday morning. The case is being investigated as a homicide as the manner of death has indicated as such,  

Here is more on that from the County Sheriffs Office;

Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office says that on 08-12-2018 at approximately 0900 hours Grays Harbor County Deputies were dispatched to the boat launch located at 1344 State Route 109 in Hoquiam to a report of a deceased male having been discovered at that location by a fisherman.

Upon arrival, deputies were assisted by Washington State Patrol and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife officers who confirmed the information.

After further investigation deputies identified the deceased as Andrew Detwiler, 35 years of age from Hoquiam. Based on evidence at the scene it was apparent that Detwiler was the victim of homicidal violence.

Detectives processed the scene for evidence throughout Sunday and the investigation continues.

An autopsy is scheduled for today 08-13-2018; cause and manner of death will be released upon completion of the examination.
