A traffic collision Saturday night February 16th at 9:54 pm on State Route 8 left an Aberdeen woman deceased at the scene, and the driver transported to St. Peters Hospital for his injuries.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a white 1999 Ford F350 Pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old Elma man was traveling eastbound on State Route 8 in Thurston County at Wilson Rd.
The vehicle lost control, struck the guardrail, and left the roadway on the south side of State Route 8. The vehicle came to rest on its driver's side approximately 25 feet off of the roadway on the south side of State Route 8, just east of Wilson road at milepost 18.
The passenger, a 24-year-old Aberdeen woman was deceased at the scene, the 21-year-old Aberdeen man was transported to St. Peters Hospital for his injuries.
At this time cause of the accident and any charges are still under investigation.
One lane of eastbound 8 was blocked for three hours and fifty minutes.
