A DUI driver strikes multiple signs at the Aberdeen High School and damages the grass on school property caught at San Benn Park driving recklessly by Aberdeen Police Officers.

On September 25, 2019 at approximately 6:33 pm, Aberdeen Officers were dispatched to a report of a recklessly driven vehicle in the area of Sam Benn Park.
Aberdeen Officers responded to the area shortly after the call was received. An update provided information the suspect’s vehicle was traveling in the area of west 6th Street. An Aberdeen Officer located the vehicle, a yellow Subaru Baja with Washington plate in the 1900 block of west 6th Street shortly after. When the Officer attempted to stop the vehicle the driver drove up onto the sidewalk before stopping.

An Aberdeen Officer contacted the driver whom was identified as a 47 year old female from Tacoma. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The driver exhibited signs of impairment and was subsequently taken into custody for Driving Under the influence.
Further investigation revealed the suspect’s vehicle had struck multiple signs at the Aberdeen High School and had damaged the grass on school property.
The suspect was booked into the Aberdeen Jail on the charges of Driving Under the Influence, Malicious Mischief 3rd Degree, and for Hit and Run unattended property damage.
