A Thurston County Chevron is now short one clerk ... but not because she is too scared to return to work after being robbed at gunpoint, but because she was arrested for being involved in the robbery.  Here is what we have from the Thurston County Sheriffs Office this morning on a robbery that took place on Sunday afternoon.

Yesterday around noon TCSO deputies responded to a reported armed robbery at the Arbor Chevron on Martin Way.

A citizen did an excellent job of observing the fleeing suspect and provided a vehicle description and partial plate. A few minutes later, deputies spotted the vehicle on Pacific Ave and conducted a felony stop with the assistance of Lacey PD. The male suspect fled from the vehicle into the woods and the female driver was detained.

The male suspect was captured a few minutes later and still had the money in his possession.

The firearm was located in the vehicle and was determined to be an airsoft gun. During the investigation, it was learned that the clerk was actually the mother of the male suspect and had assisted in setting up the robbery. The getaway driver was also part of the plan and was the girlfriend of the suspect.

The mother, son, and girlfriend were all booked into the TCSO jail for Robbery 1st. Thanks to a vigilant citizen for providing the vehicle information!
