Woman In Custody After Burglary and Attempted Murder In Central Park

The Grays Harbor County Sheriffs Department confirms in a social media post that they do have a person in custody from an incident we first posted about this morning, and updates us on the details of the incident. They say that this morning January 16th, 2025 at 9:20 AM deputies were dispatched to a residence in a 4700 block of Central Park Drive for an unknown problem. It was reported that a female at the location suffered a significant injury and was bleeding from the head. Deputies responded and arrived on scene at 9:28 AM. Upon arrival, deputies were able to determine that the female was the victim of an assault by an unknown intruder who broke into the victim's house.

The suspect was described by the victim as a blonde female with braided hair wearing a gray zip up sweatshirt. Deputies began checking the area and located a suspect matching this description approximately 1/2 of a mile from the residence.

While deputies were talking to the possible suspect, they noticed blood on her clothing and face. She was taken into custody and booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail for Attempted Murder and Burglary in the first degree.

According to Grays Harbor County Jail records, Brynn Slater is being held on Assault and Burglary charges and was booked into Grays Harbor County Jail at 10:30 AM

The victim, Beth Loveall identified by Grays Harbor Foursquare Church, says that she is their Church Administrator who lives nearby their church suffered non-life threating injuries.

Detectives are currently on the scene of the incident location, processing it for potential evidence.

Just prior to this call at 0840 hours deputies were advised of a suspicious person call in the 4200 block of Olympic Highway. It was reported that a female came into a business at the location and was asking for help. The female was reported to seem confused and then left the location on foot heading eastbound on Olympic Highway. Deputies responded and checked the area but were unable to locate the female. It is believed at this time that the two incidents may be related.
