It could be heard over the radio Tuesday morning, Fire District 2 had been dispatched to a medical call in the Brady area, Fire District 2, Station 2 we will be unable to respond to the medical call as the station has been broken into, request law. One thing you do not want to hear as a medical responder, or someone needing emergency help.
The Fire District 2 Fire Chief Johnson put out a press release the next day advising that they are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest of the person or persons responsible for this act. It is said that the items were stolen cold be in the amount of upwards of over $20,000.

On May 22, 2018, at approximately 0900 hours, members of Fire District 2 responded to Station 2-2 (Brady) at 8 Fire Station Road, Montesano, WA for an emergency medical incident in the local community.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that the station had been burglarized.
Notification was made to the Grays Harbor County Sheriffs Office immediately concerning the event. Deputies and a detective responded to the station to investigate. Burglars forced entry into the fire station through an outside entry door.

Equipment essential to protecting the community was taken from apparatus in the station. This includes portable radios, an automatic external defibrillator, a thermal imaging camera, multiple rescue saws, batteries and battery chargers for medical equipment, and tools. The Fire District is working GHSO to further investigate this incident. A reward of $1,500 dollars is being offered to anyone who have information that leads to the recovery of these items and/or conviction of individuals responsible for the burglary.
