10-year Old Boy Rescued By Bystanders In Ocean Shores Surf

A 10-year old boy was nearly swept out to sea at the North Jetty on Saturday, but was rescued by bystanders.

At about 6pm on Saturday, June 29th, the Ocean Shores Police and Fire Departments responded to a surf rescue call at the North Jetty. It was reported that a small boy was caught in a rip current and was being pulled out along the jetty.

Two bystanders saw the boy was in trouble and swam out to him. They pulled him up to the rocks and helped him out of the water. All three has scrapes and bruises from being battered against the rocks, and the young victim said he had swallowed some water.

The three were helped off of the jetty, and all three were checked by Paramedics and released at the scene.
