According to the Grays Harbor County Seriffs Office 2 18 year olds and 2 19 year olds were flown to Harborview in Seattle for their injuries following a single vehicle traffic incident on Ocean Beach Road Thursday. 

On August 27th, 2020 at 1:38 P.M. Law and fire responded to a one-vehicle collision in the 500 boxes of Ocean beach Road outside of Hoquiam.

The vehicle (information on vehicle not released) was traveling south on Ocean Beach Road when it left the roadway and rolled multiple times.

The vehicle was occupied by two 18-year-old males and two 19-year-old males from Tacoma. One of the occupants was ejected from the vehicle and another occupant was trapped under the vehicle.

All four occupants sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

As of 08-28-20 three of the occupants are listed as being in stable condition and one occupant is listed as being in critical condition.

After the initial investigation alcohol and drugs are not suspected, but speed does appear to be a factor in the collision.

A 29-year-old Long Beach Woman is being charged with DUI, Reckless Endangerment, No Insurance, and for having wheels off the roadway for the collision that occurred Sunday night August 23rd at 10:25 pm. 

The collision occurred in Pacific County on State Route 103 Long Beach a half-mile north of Loomis Lake.  She was driving a 2008 Silver Ford Edge northbound at 198th St with a juvenile (non disclosed info) on board.  The Ford Edge went off the roadway to the right, driving in the ditch for 60 yards and then struck a tree where it then came to a rest. 

The driver was not injured, however, the juvenile in the vehicle was transported to Ocean Beach Hospital for its injuries. Both driver and the child were wearing their seat safety restraints. 

State Route 105 near Blum St near Ocosta in the South Beach area was blocked for 4 hours today after a driver failed to negotiate a curve and collided with another.

According to a Washington State Patrol report a 2007 Red Dodge Grand Caravan driven by a 38-year-old Rochester man was traveling southbound on 105 just north of Plum Road.
The Rochester man failed to negotiate a curve that went to the right, crossed the center line, and struct a travel trailer being towed by a 2017 GMC Sierra driven by a 61-year-old Mattawa man.

The Rochester man and his passenger a 42-year-old Rochester man were both transported to Community Hospital for their injuries.  It was not disclosed which occupant was the more severe, however, fatality was not mentioned at the time of the report indicating both with injuries and alive contrary to social media rumors.

cause of the accident is still under investigation and charges pending however, the report does indicate that alcohol and or drugs were involved.

HOH, Wash. — A Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew medevaced a hiker Sunday in Olympic National Park near Hoh.

At 5:30 p.m., watchstanders at Sector Puget Sound were notified of the fallen hiker and directed the aircrew to respond. A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy on scene reported the hiker had fallen approximately 100 feet.

The aircrew hoisted the hiker into the helicopter shortly after 7 p.m. before transporting him to awaiting personnel at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles.

The middle-aged male hiker was reportedly responsive and in stable condition upon arrival.

The Coast Guard encourages mariners and hikers to remain aware of their surroundings at all times. Whether at sea or on land, it is also recommended all persons maintain a reliable means of communication so that emergency responders can be notified in case of emergency.

On August 13, 2020, the Grays Harbor Drug Task Force served three search warrants for alleged illegal drug sales in Elma, Washington. Officers from Elma PD, Aberdeen PD, Hoquiam PD, the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office and Cosmopolis PD assisted.

The search warrants were a culmination of related ongoing investigations involving local methamphetamine and heroin distribution. 

Three Elma women, two 35 years old and one 29 years old, are currently being held in the Grays Harbor County Jail on felony drug charges.
