Aberdeen Police, working with the Grays Harbor County Drug Task Force, served a search warrant on a home in south Aberdeen yesterday. Police Chief Steve Shumate said in a press release that on Tuesday, September 4th at approximately 9:30 am officers and detectives jointly executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Cushing Street, Aberdeen. This was a nearly 5-week investigation into the sales and distribution of methamphetamine.

There was a bit of a stir Saturday night in east county by the fairgrounds near Elma with police activity after witnesses called in a possible burglary.  This time, one of the suspects was apprehended by the county k9 deputy. 

Hoquiam firefighters and Police officers were busy yesterday with 2 separate structure fires over the first day of the Labor Day Weekend.  The first fire of the day we have heard that one person was transported for injuries sustained by the fire, the second home was vacant in a state of remodeling.
