Subscriber Incident Wrap Up For 11/19

Grays Harbor Scanner runs a few programs through its online news website, GHScanner APP and Facebook page - one of which is our subscriber Alerts GHSAlerts. These programs are used to help pay for the many costs associated with running a top-notch Alerts service and program manned by volunteers and staff.

Below is a list of the alerts sent and follow-up information that we were able to retrieve or get either from radio traffic or get direct from involved agencies.

Aberdeen, fire being dispatched to the 1700 block of Chilton Rd for report of a kitchen fire smoking flames. Residence is not evacuated. 10:11 AM - UPDATE - Person were able to get out of the residence, fire did extend into the attic.  FD was able to get the fire knocked down and out. 

Aberdeen, officers responding to the 600 block Martin Street report of an assault between neighbors, One subject threatening to retrieve a firearm. 1:29 PM

Elma, multiple officers responding to a logging road off of Bush Creek RD for a possible suicidal person armed with a firearm. Officer made contact with the person, he took off on the officer in the vehicle and went back into his residence driveway. The subject got out of the vehicle with a gun in hand. 2:21 PM  - UPDATE - Offcers were able to get the person into protective custody without incident. 

Aberdeen, report of a two vehicle blocking collision on the bluff, westbound SR12 non-injury, one of the vehicles is smoking or steaming heavily. 5:14 PM.  This was non injury, but did have traffic affected for about an hour. 

Aberdeen, EMS and officers responding to the 100 block South Broadway for an assault victim. Suspect left in a stolen silver Volvo SUV. SUV belongs to the victim, lasting north on Broadway. 5:40 PM - UPDATE - This ended up being an assault 2nd degree, domestic violence, protection order violation.  County and APD Jail bookings do not indicate that he was apprehended.
