This morning Hoquiam Fire along with Aberdeen Fire for mutual aid were dispatched to the 200 block of Broadway Ave, near the S Curves of Broadway Ave around 4:10 AM.

A person driving by the residence spotted smoke inside the residence, calling it in. They advised that they believed this is an abandoned non occupied home, but there were lights on inside and tarps.

Hoquiam Police arrived on scene advising they can see smoke coming from the siding, and that they can hear cracking inside.

When HFD arrived they advised that heavy smoke is visibleinside of the home.

Hoquiam Police shut down Broadway Ave in the 300 block for saftey as the fire department had to stretch a hose line from the hydrant to the scene of the fire.

HFD advised that the fire was located in the sub basement and went offensive.

Fire was knocked down and in overhaul at 4:23 AM with primary search of the residence complete nothing found as far as persons inside.
