3 Arrested After Shooting Incident on State Route 105, November 11th

It has been 2 weeks since the incident occurred and now the Sheriffs Department says that they have 3 persons in custody at this time, and do not believe there is a risk to the public.

Here is what the Grays Harbor Sheriffs Department posted in a social media post on November 27th, 2024 15 days after the incident took place.

On November 11th, 2024, at approximately 2257 hours Grays Harbor County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a shooting at 1060 SR 105 in Ocosta. The reporting party advised that he was shot at while leaving the residence, and the vehicle he was in suffered damage from multiple gunshots.

Several deputies from the Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office and officers from the Aberdeen Police Department responded to assist. After obtaining an initial statement from the reporting party and a witness on scene, it was determined that there were several subjects inside the suspect residence, possibly armed with firearms.

The Aberdeen Regional Special Response Team (SRT) was called to the scene to assist in making contact at the residence. With the use of their armored vehicle as cover, members of the SRT were able to safely approach the residence, make contact with the occupants inside and safely detain them. Statements were obtained from several witnesses, and a search warrant was obtained allowing deputies to process the scene. Evidence was collected from the scene to include several firearms.

Since the date of this incident, deputies were able to establish probable cause to arrest multiple subjects for various crimes. Currently, three suspects are in custody on an array of crimes to include unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, drive-by shooting, and multiple counts of assault first degree. Deputies are continuing to investigate this incident and additional arrests are forthcoming.

This incident occurred over a disagreement between the parties involved and we do not believe there is a risk to the public.
