Early Morning Vehicle Pursuit, DUI Collision McCleary - Overnight Catch Up.

Around 3:25 AM An Elma Police Officer out on a collision scene where the driver was reported as possible DUI on State Route 12 near milepost 26 observed a white Toyota Camry with an orange bumper go through that scene with extreme lane travel, possibly also DUI. Unable to act on it he advised dispatch and other units about the vehicle.  That vehicle was later spotted near westbound SR 12 and 3rd St.  The vehicle took off, turning onto South Bank RD.  The trooper advised the vehicle was going approximately 100 MPH. All other officers were west of the incident, unable to get into a position to set up with spike strips. The vehicle then got back onto State Route 12 headed towards Oakville.  He was reported as passing semi trucks in no passing zones at 105 mph.  The trooper lost sight of the vehicle around milepost 31 and terminated the pursuit. 

DUI Collision McCleary - 

The Washington State Patrol reports that around 12:35 AM a DUI Driver failed to stop at a stop sign on State Route 108 milepost 2 leaving the roadway and hitting a tree.  The 53 year old McCleary man was transported to Summit Pacific for his injuries.
