


According to the Aberdeen police Department, the fake jewelry sales people are back, trying to scam the locals with their fake jewelry. Here is more from the Aberdeen Police Department:
On 09/01/22 around 3:50 PM, Aberdeen Police were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance in the parking lot at Walmart regarding subjects selling suspected fake jewelry. Officers contacted the subjects, who admitted the jewelry was not real and that they were telling potential buyers it was not real.
The sellers, who were self-reported travelers from out of the area, were advised to cease and desist by responding officers, and they complied.
The Aberdeen Police Department takes these types of calls seriously and are ready to respond and check on situations citizens feel are suspicious. In looking out for our citizens and community, APD strongly encourages buyers to beware of what you are buying, especially from private parties.

Friday morning July 8th, 2022 a Copalis Woman was killed in a rollover collision on State Route 109 at milepost 5.5.
The collision according to the Washington State Patrol occurred at 9:42 in the morning when the Copalis woman (name withheld by GHS, letting family be notified first) was driving a 2003 Honda Pilot traveling northbound on State Route 109. She left the roadway to the right, rolled several times, and was ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest in the ditch off the roadway.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
The roadway was fully blocked for the investigation and incident for 4 hours with detours in place.
