Multiple lanes were blocked and closed for a collision investigation Wednesday morning east of Montesano.

According to a Washington State Patrol report the collision occurred on Wednesday, April 7th at 1:41 am on eastbound State Route 12 at the west end of Monte Brady Road.  The intersection near the Brady Fire Station.  

The report says that a red 2011 Ford F150 driven by a 41-year-old Montesano man was northbound on Monte Brady Road turning onto State Route 12 to go Westbound when he turned into the path of a red 2018 Honda motorcycle ridden by a 42-year-old Orting man who was in the eastbound lanes of 12. 

The Montesano man continued down the road later parking to the side (later located by a Montesa no Officer according to radio traffic) and evaluated for minor injuries. 

The Motorcyclist having severe injuries was airlifted from the scene where the helicopter landed on the highway taking him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. 

The report does indicate that the driver of the F150 was Driving Under The Influence and according to county booking records has been booked for DUI and Hit and Run resulting in injuries. 

On 04-03-21 the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office received information that volunteer searchers located what they believed to be a car in the Chehalis River. 

The searchers were looking for 45 year old Oakville resident Sabrina Cole.  Cole was reported missing and endangered to the Chehalis Tribal Police Department.  She had been last seen on March 20th. The car was located down river from the Elma Gate Road West boat launch in Oakville.  

Grays Harbor Scanner has an update on the incident that took place Wednesday, March 31st at the Mobile Gas Station and Walmart parking area on E Heron and Hornsby Way where the Grays Harbor County Drug Task for says that they acted on a lengthy investigation into heroin, meth, and pills being delivered into Grays Harbor.

 

In a Washington State Patrol report Saturday evening they say that One person was airlifted to OHSU Portland and 4 others including juveniles were taken to Ocean Beach Hospital after what WSP says a driver of a grey 2000 GMC Yukon had been driving in the surf at a high rate and started to fishtail and rolled the vehicle. 

The driver, a 46-year-old man from Vancouver, WA was the one that had to be airlifted for his injuries.  The report says that the Yukon at a high rate of speed in the surf and fishtailed and circled. the vehicle apparently rolled three times and came to rest on its tires. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

In the vehicle with the driver was a 36-year-old woman, and 3 children ages 8, 6, and 2. All of the passengers were wearing their seat belts. They were all transported to Ocean Beach Hospital in Illwaco.

No charges have been submitted at this time pending the completion of the investigation.
